Hemant is a doctoral researcher working at the interface of physics, materials science, and electronics engineering, with a focus on iontronic neuromorphic transistors and physical neural networks (PNNs). His research interests span the design, fabrication, modelling, and characterization of electronic/ionic devices, as well as high-vacuum systems, thin-film deposition, and advanced materials characterization.
He completed his Master’s degree in Engineering Physics at UPC Barcelona (2025). His Master’s thesis, undertaken at ITQ–UPV, centered on the fabrication and modelling of halide perovskite memristors.
Hemant received his Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence (Delhi NCR, India, 2024), where he spent three years working on the fabrication and characterization of organic semiconductor devices, including field-effect transistors and solar cells.
Beyond research, Hemant is an avid musician and remains semi-active in the rock and metal music scenes of Barcelona and Delhi.
