Alex Morata received his M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Barcelona in 2002, where he also carried out his Ph.D. in Physics. He has worked as a visiting researcher in several European and international research centers (University of Leuven, École des Mines Saint Étienne, École Centrale Paris, and Los Alamos National Laboratory). Since 2010, he is working as a researcher at the Nanoionics and Fuel Cells Group of the Advanced Materials for Energy Department at the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC). His research topic is focused in the field of energy, mainly developing materials for Solid Oxide Cells (SOCs) and implementing nanotechnology on harvesting and storage devices.
