Elise Despesse holds a degree in general engineering from Ecole Centrale de Lyon, France, and specialised in energy conversion and storage technologies during her double master’s degree in the TIME program at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), which she obtained in 2022.
She previously worked as a research engineer at Topsoe, a Danish company specialising in catalysts and Power-to-X technologies, focusing on post-mortem analysis of SOEC cells and stacks.
She joined IREC in March 2026 as a Laboratory Technician and will work on the additive manufacturing of solid oxide cells.
