After an apprenticeship as a plant mechanic, Hauke completed his bachelor’s degree in engineering for Energy and Environmental Technologies at the University of Applied Sciences in Esslingen (Germany). After his bachelor’s degree, he began his master’s degree in Energy Systems & Energy Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Esslingen. During his bachelor’s and master’s studies, he worked for three years as a research assistant at the Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research in Stuttgart (ZSW, Germany) in the field of renewable energy sources and processes. His work focused mainly on alkaline pressure electrolysis. During his master’s degree, he spent an Erasmus semester in Heraklion (Greece), where he mainly worked on renewable energy power plants.
Hauke is currently completing his Master’s thesis at the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research IREC in Barcelona.
