Kevin Castelló Lux obtained his Chemistry degree (2014) and the master’s degree (2018) specializing in Chemistry and Materials Science for Energy and Sustainable Development at the University of Montpellier. He completed his PhD (2022) at the Institute of Applied Science of Toulouse (INSA), where he focused on the synthesis and gold nanoparticles decoration of semiconductor metal oxides for indoor air quality improvement. He gained a considerable theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of photocatalysis and nanomaterial synthesis via organometallic precursors and characterization methods.

He joined IREC in June 2023, for his first postdoctoral position focused on the AfreeSSB project, which involves research on anode free all-solid-state batteries and electrodes-electrolyte interface engineering.
