Lourenço got his master’s degree in material science and engineering from the School of Science and Technology of Universidade Nova in Lisbon, in November 2023. For my bachelor’s project, he focused on a cellulose-based sustainable membrane substitute for PEMFC.  His master’s thesis focused on the synthesis of core-shell nanoparticles for biomedical applications,  these researches were conducted in CENIMAT|I3N.
He joined IREC in April 2024, where he is pursuing a PhD with a focus on the development of SOFC protonic electrolytes by UHS sintering in the NIFC Group.
