Simone Anelli received his Material Science and Engineering Bachelor and Master degrees at the University of Genoa. He did is bachelor thesis at Aperam S.A. (Isbergues, Fr), where he worked on the oxidation behaviour of ferritic stainless steels for SOFC interconnects at high temperature. His master thesis, carried out at the University of Genoa (UNIGE), was about the study of sol-gel coatings for metallic interconnects. Then he worked for Alluminio di Qualitá Spa, in Genoa, where he was focused on a feasibility study of metallic powders for Additive Manufacturing applications, for the Italian market. Currently he is doing his PhD at IREC, in the Nanoionics and Fuel Cell group, on the optimization of functional nanostructured ceramics for energy devices, with additive manufacturing techniques.
